About Humans Of Upper Egypt
Humans of Upper Egypt hopes to convey the soul of a people whose deeply rooted culture and depth of spirit truly make unique, as they are children of Oum El Donia, the Mother of the World: Egypt.
With portraits of daily life in Upper Egypt, Humans of Upper Egypt conveys the daily hurdles, dreams that never come true, and harsh realities that people choose to ignore. Every picture tells a unique story of a human who continues to pursue the meaning of humanity in this ever changing world.
With a sensitive eye, the photographers navigate through rural environments connecting intimately with the people they encounter, as fellow Egyptians and compassionate humans. Their photographs express glimmers of joy, honor and dignity.
Our vision
Humans of Upper Egypt popularizes values, culture, habits and traditions of our society with photography, cinematography and other creative expressions. We want to deepen the connections between different categories in society through visual storytelling, with the belief that our nation will raise up again.
